Dreams

My name is Hannah Victoria, and I’m an actress committed to creating high-quality media. Being a part of productions that instruct, empower, inspire and make people feel, think, cry and laugh is my passion!

As a little girl, I often dreamed of being an actress, but as time went on I gave up that goal as I thought about the small percentage of aspiring actresses who are actually given the chance to act in a film. Over the next few years I tried to imagine a different career, but the only thing I could really see myself clearly doing was being an actress.

When I was twelve, my parents let me audition for my first movie. If they had known how that would change my life, I don’t think that they would ever have let me try out…especially for the main part.

In April of 2008, I was cast in the lead role of Kelly Green in Precious Treasure. So this little girl who couldn’t decide what she wanted to do when she ‘grew up’, was suddenly thrust into her dream. It was a very overwhelming experience to work with an actual director and crew, especially since I had never been on a movie set before! (My biggest audience was my sister’s YouTube channel!)

A year after this amazing experience, I was starting to get discouraged. I felt like my life was at a stand still. I felt like God wanted me to keep pursuing film, but no further opportunities had come my way. This is the part where I just stand back and watched God do the work.

Director Geno DiMaria (One of the cinematographers on “Precious Treasure”) contacted me about a role in his upcoming film. Soon I was on my way to South Carolina where I played the supporting role of Sarah Michaels in the film Bros. It was two of the best weeks of my life! By the end of production, I was positive that acting was for me!

Flipping forward a few chapters to the spring of 2010, my sister Christy, who is a director, cast me in the lead role of Sydney Harlow in her film Small Talents! Sydney was a totally fun role to slip into! She’s spunky, knows what she wants, works to get it, and doesn’t give up even when it looks like her life is going down hill! She reminds me a lot of myself in some ways!

After Small Talents won the Best Young Filmmaker award at the San Antonio Independent Christian film festival, my sister went on to direct two more short films Decrescendo (Best Cinematography, Envision Film Festival) and Mirage. I played lead roles in both of these films, and loved every minute of it! Around this same time, I began to branch into voice acting with roles in the upcoming films “Jonah” and “The Button”.

But my story doesn’t end there. There are chapters and chapters of my life that are still to be written! But I’m not the one holding the pen, so where God, the author of my story leads, I’ll follow!
